Visiting a new church can be really overwhelming. We want to ease that feeling as much as possible! Here’s some information that should make your first visit a comfortable experience and allow you to turn your attention to God’s Word instead of spending it on figuring out our routine.

What time are services?

There is a morning Worship Service, at 10:45 AM. Sunday School is available for all ages at 9:30 AM.

How do I get to WFBC?

We are located on the corner of 8th Street and Travis in the historic downtown. Get detailed directions and a map to help you find us here.

Where can I park?

We have reserved parking near the main entrance along the road for the disabled, as well as for visitors, and senior citizens. There is also a parking lot directly across from the church’s main entrance.

Who is welcome to attend?

Anyone who wants to worship God as revealed in the Bible or come to learn about this God. We seek to be unified around our Lord Jesus Christ and His Word and not by a certain political party, race, or social class. All who come will be loved and welcomed.

What is available for infants and toddlers?

We have a well-equipped nursery to care for your infants and toddlers during all services.

What children’s programs are available?

During Sunday School, we have classes for children from two years old to 6th grade. Junior and Senior High teens meet as a part of the Wichita Falls Baptist’s youth ministry.

What Bible fellowship or Sunday school class is available for adults?

Our Adult Bible Fellowship starts at 9:30 AM.

What happens when I get to WFBC?

Our greeters will give you a bulletin and assist you in getting to your class or into the service.

What do I do before the service starts?

If you arrive before the service starts, you will notice that our auditorium is filled with plenty of comfortable seats. There are no reserved seats, so you may sit anywhere. Many people will be greeting one another during this time.

What are the services like?

Services generally last about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Our worship services are a time of joyful worship and praise, with a variety of songs, special music, and a relevant message from God’s Word.

How will I know when to stand?

The pastor or the music director will ask the congregation to stand or sit. Generally we stand while singing and sit during public prayer.

What is the pastor’s message like?

Our Pastor gives Bible-based messages lasting about 40 minutes. His messages are timely and applicable.

Do I need to donate money when I visit?

WFBC believes giving an offering from our income is a Biblical principle and we do encourage it. However, our guests should not feel under any obligation to participate. As our guest, we would request that you would fill out a Guest Information card and drop that in the offering plate.

What happens after the service?

People usually mingle and fellowship.
