Discipleship

After receiving eternal life in Christ, a new believer must grow in his relationship with the Lord. Discipleship is an intentional process by which spiritual growth is fostered and nurtured.

At Wichita Falls Baptist Church discipleship is taking place on three levels.

First, discipleship takes place during the main services of the church. A believer benefits from God’s Word being taught verse by verse from a teacher who invests many hours in preparing to preach or teach the message.

Second, discipleship takes place during our small group Bible studies in Sunday School and on Wednesday nights. During these times, a person is able to be involved in group discussion, fellowship, and prayer with other believers.

Third, discipleship takes place in one-on-one relationships. Saints meet together throughout the week in normal relationship, for the purpose of prayer or fellowship, or even for individual Bible study or discipling

Anyone desiring to meet with another mature believer can be connected with a spiritual mentor who will help them in their relationship with the Lord. Please speak with one of the elders if you have questions.
