Solomon’s middle years include some concerning actions. Yet, in this passage, the author gushes over how perfect Solomon’s kingdom is. The author wants to show us that his world was filled with (1) peace, (2) wisdom and knowledge, (3) wealth, and (4) God. As we move to the NT, we see that all of this served as pictures to point to the greater King who would come and give us paradise not for a time but eternity.
